Ystrad Rhondda RFC is once again proud to be supporting the Rhondda Foodbank with our annual collection drive — an initiative that has become a valued part of our club’s community work.
For several years, the club has partnered with Rhondda Foodbank to help local families and individuals who are facing difficult times. This year’s collection is now underway, and we’re encouraging players, members, supporters, and the wider community to get involved by donating non-perishable food items, toiletries, and household essentials.
All donations can be dropped off at the Ystrad Rhondda RFC clubhouse during opening hours, with the final collection date set for Sunday, 14th December.
Mike Davies, Club Treasurer at Ystrad Rhondda RFC, said:
“We’re very proud to continue our support for Rhondda Foodbank. This is a cause that means a lot to everyone at the club, and we’re always humbled by the generosity shown by our members and supporters. Every donation helps make life a little easier for someone in our community, especially at this time of year.”
Neil Assiratti, from Rhondda Foodbank, added:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Ystrad Rhondda RFC for their ongoing support. The club’s commitment and the kindness of their members have made a real difference to families across the Rhondda. Partnerships like this show the true strength of community spirit in our valley.”
The Rhondda Foodbank provides essential food parcels and practical support to those in crisis throughout the area — offering a vital lifeline, particularly during the winter months.
Donations can be made up until Sunday, 14th December, at the Ystrad Rhondda RFC clubhouse.
