Dai joined Ystrad in 2010/11 season from Pontypridd RFC. The following season he played a significant part in the club winning the Division 2 title. He remained with the club through Division 1, often producing scintillating performances, creating try's out of nothing. Perhaps the greatest of these was on the biggest stage of all for the club during the Swalec Plate final at the Principality Stadium. His individual is still talked about as being one of the best in the community game finals. After leaving Ystrad, Dai returned to his home club Rhydyfelin RFC where he continues to play.

Below is the link to Dai's famous individual try at the Principality Stadium which helped the team to victory in the 2015 Swalec Plate final against Newcastle Emlyn.
